Your data doesn't leave your browser unless you share the link.

iGotTrip is a client-side tool. There is no account, no login, and no server-side database for your budget. Everything you enter lives in your browser — and stays there.

Data Storage

iGotTrip runs entirely in your browser. Your travel budget is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes it for good.

Shared Links

When you share a budget, the data is encoded into the URL hash (the part after #). Anyone with the link can see the same numbers — that's the whole point of sharing. Because the link is the data, don't enter personal information (name, email, passport number, exact home address) into a budget you plan to share.

Analytics & Advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 (statistics) and Google AdSense (advertising). These set cookies, but they only load after you grant consent via the cookie banner. You can decline at any time. See our Cookie Policy.
